Recap: Startup Founder Talk: Founder Lessons, Learned the Hard Way, with David Chang!

Tom Maloney, Mark Weiner, I and others volunteer our time to run BNT, a not-for-profit group, whose mission is to help local startups launch and grow!

Last week, we co-hosted 3 awesome events, but our 5th Founder Talk with David Chang was extra special!

Six weeks ago, I asked David if he could donate an evening of his time to inspire and educate founders.

As a new CEO, Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Angel Investor to 40 companies, I thought he'd be too busy.

Wrong! David didn't hesitate in confirming and he didn't ask for anything!

Last Thursday, 70 lucky BNT members had the privilege of attending this amazing Founder Talk with David Chang!

Founders who attended raved about David's advice and being able to connect with him 1:1.

David shared advice on founders, execution & scaling, pitching and raising capital. You can download his slides with 40+ tips for founders below.

David networked with founders before his talk and stayed quite late to meet the rest!

We thank David for donating his time to educate and inspire local founders! Thank you for helping us accelerate local innovation!

David is the Chief Executive Officer of Gradifi, A First Republic Company and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Harvard Business School. He has held product, marketing, and operating roles at five internet/mobile startups and is an angel investor in 40 companies.

Check out David's new company, Gradifi, the leader in employer-based student loan repayment; an innovative platform that lets employers make direct contributions to their employees' student loans, and pay down their student debt up to 25% faster.

Many thanks to First Republic Bank and Robert Hughes for graciously hosting  and supporting this awesome event!
